It would be easy for us to stay home or go elsewhere. Or we could just go to the track to race, because like everyone else that comes to the track, we do love to race.
But I don't believe that is the only reason why we go to the track. We are at the track for more important reasons. In the following text I am going to try to explain what the more important reasons are.
Reason One:
There are a lot of Christians that love to race.
Every Sunday they have a dilemma. Should they go to church or to the track? What is right? What is wrong?
The Bible is clear on the fact that we should get together as Christians and worship God. It is also clear that we need each other to become stronger in our faith and to become stronger Christians. Think of it this way, to get better at Motocross where do you go? It's the same with being a Christian you need to learn and grow. You do this by being around people that believe the same way you do.
Please read the following scriptures:
HEB 12:28 Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe,
HEB 10:25 Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another--and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
COL 3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.
Based on what we have just read, we want to give Christians that love to race the opportunity to worship God and grow in there walk with Jesus and still be able to be at the track on Sunday morning. I don't think we are a substitute for there home church, but we can stand in the gap and give them an opportunity to worship God and hear his word.
Reason 2:
We want to make sure everyone that is at this time not saved gets a chance to know what we know. We are not here to beat people up with the Bible; we just want to point the way.
It is still there choice.
There are a lot of really good people that come to the tracks, but a lot of good people won't be in heaven with us. We want to prevent this.
The misconception is that a good person will automatically go to heaven.
But here is what God says:
RO 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
In other words, no matter how good someone is, they still have sinned. If ever so little, we just can't help ourselves. Then you hear that it doesn't matter what religion you belong to. But contrary to popular believe, there is only one way to heaven. Here is what the Bible says:
JN 14:6 Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
So how does it work?
If you are reading this and you feel something drawing you or you feel like something is bothering you, that is more then likely the Holy Spirit trying to get you're attention.
The Holy Spirit calls people, we just deliver the message. Here is what the Bible says:
JN 6:44 "No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him, and I will raise him up at the last day.
So if you feel like something is drawing you, you should answer the voice inside you. You do not know when you're time is up and when there won't be another chance. How do you do this?
Ask Jesus into your life…………….. RO 10:9 That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
